Father Bob is ‘the new kid on the block.’ After hearing the call to serve God’s people as a late vocation (ordained July 18, 2009), he graciously accepted his first assignment at Redemptorist Kansas City. He grew up in South Bend, Indiana and a devoted fan of Our Lady’s team. Besides pastoral ministries at the parish, Fr. Bob enjoys being a spiritual mentor for the ‘Adult Faith Enrichment’ team.

Rev. Frank Kriski, C.Ss.R.

Fr. Kriski grew up in Nebraska, and is back in Kansas City for the second time. He has served in a number of Redemptorist parishes in the mid-west and the south, and was also a military Chaplain for four years. Fr. Kriski is no longer at Our Lady of Peace Parish, but resides here with the Redemptorist Community.

Rev. Patrick Power, C.Ss.R.

Fr. Power is originally from Newfoundland and was a builder of boats before he became a Redemptorist Brother. He spent 8 years in Thailand, but never gave up the desire to become a priest. Ordained when he was 44 years old, he returned to Canada for a few years. Although now retired, he continues his wood craftsmanship, and has made a number of caskets for people in the parish. Fr. Power contributes the proceeds of his work to the Redemptorist missions in Thailand.

Rev. Edward Morgan, C.Ss.R.

This is Fr. Morgan's third stint in Kansas City. He was the Pastor of Redemptorist Parish from 1983 to 1990. Before becoming a priest, Fr. Morgan served our country in the Air Force. He has been a parish priest in: Chicago, Illinois; Grand Rapids, Michigan; Wichita, Kansas; and, Omaha, Nebraska. He served as Pastor in Davenport, Iowa and is now an Associate Pastor at Our Lady of Sorrows Parish here in Kansas City.

Rev. Jack Willett, C.Ss.R.

Fr. Willett came to Kansas City in 2005 to enjoy semi-retirement and to serve as an Associate Pastor at Our Lady of Sorrows Parish. He spent five years working in Nigeria training Redemptorist students, putting to good use his previous experience as: Seminary Director; Parish Priest; member of the Mission Team; and, Pastor of St. Alphonsus Parish in Chicago, Illinois.

Rev. Richard Quinn, C.Ss.R.

Fr. Quinn is a native of Kansas City and a graduate of Redemptorist grade school. Besides serving as an Army Chaplain for 6 years, Fr. Quinn has been the Pastor in a number of Redemptorist parishes including: Detroit, Michigan; Grand Rapids, Michigan; Seattle, Washington; Omaha, Nebraska; and, Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. He has come "home" to Kansas City to retire, but is more than willing to help out whenever he's needed.

Brother Charles Long, C.Ss.R.

Brother Charles has been assigned to Redemptorist Parish since 1995. If you are an early riser, you will discover that it is Brother Charles who opens the church each morning and serves the 7:00 a.m. Mass. He is the Redemptorist Community's banker and food purchaser, and often can be found filling in at the Rectory Office. He has done these same chores in a number of our Redemptorist Parishes.

Brother John Matthys, C.Ss.R

Brother John comes from a large family of 12 children and grew up in Davenport, Iowa. He came to Kansas City in 2007 after being stationed in several Redemptorist Parishes and Retreat Centers. Brother John now devotes most of his time helping out in the Redemptorist Parish Center, where he is much appreciated!
